we will make a little action here in Lindau (Bavaria/Germany) on
Thursday, Oct 13. Just standing around with candles and flowers
remembering the victims of bullets and deportations, some speeches,
hopefully coordination of a bigger event some time within the next weeks
and collecting signatures for the following petition (German and English
below):

Excelentísimo Señor Presidente:

Estamos chocados por el tratamiento de los inmigrantes subsaharianos en
la frontera entre España y Marruecos, tanto por las autoridades
españoles como por las marroquíes que actuan motivadas por presión
ejercida por su gobierno. Protestamos contra los numerosos disparos
mortales y la violencia por parte de los guardias fronterizos, y también
contra las "deportaciones" a Argelia efectuadas por las autoridades
marroquíes, sin el acuerdo de Argelia, resultando en el abandono de los
refugiados en el desierto. Hay testimonios que hablan ya de ocho muertos
y un número indeterminado de desaparecidos. Denunciamos la
responsibilidad de su gobierno por estos hechos y pedimos que se
respecten los derechos de los inmigrantes, como el derecho a la vida, a
la integridad física y los derechos de los refugiados según la
convención de Ginebra.

Übersetzung: Sehr geehrter Herr Ministerpräsident, wir sind schockiert
über die Behandlung schwarzafrikanischer Einwanderer an der
spanisch-marokkanischen Grenze, sowohl durch die spanischen Behörden als
auch durch die marokkanischen, die unter dem Druck Ihrer Regierung
handeln. Wir protestieren gegen die zahlreichen Todesschüsse und die
Gewalt der Grenztruppen sowie gegen die "Abschiebungen" nach Algerien
durch die marokkanischen Behörden, die ohne Einverständnis Algeriens
erfolgen, so daß die Flüchtlinge einfach in der Wüste ausgesetzt werden.
Es gibt bereits acht bezeugte Todesfälle und eine unbestimmte Zahl von
Vermißten. Wir prangern die Verantwortung Ihrer Regierung für diese
Taten an und fordern die Wahrung der Rechte der Einwanderer, wie des
Rechts auf Leben, des Rechts auf körperliche Unversehrtheit und der
Rechte der Flüchtlinge gemäß der Genfer Konvention. Hochachtungsvoll...

subsaharian immigrants at the Spanish-Moroccan border, by the Spanish
authorities as well as the Moroccan who act under pressure from your
government. We protest against the numerous fatal shootings and the
violence by border troops, and against the "deportations" to Algeria by
the Moroccan authorities which happen without Algeria's consent, which
means that the refugees are simply abandoned in the desert. There are
already eight witnessed deaths and an indefinite number of missing
people. We denounce the responsibility of your government for these acts
and demand respect for the immigrants' rights, as the right of life, of
freedom from injury, and the rights of refugees according to the Geneva
